1. Overview

TYPE/CAST is a weather application that uses Apple Weather through Apple’s WeatherKit service. We designed TYPE/CAST to provide weather information without requiring the developer to collect or retain personal information.

2. Information we do not collect

The developer of TYPE/CAST does not collect, store, sell, rent or share your personal information.

TYPE/CAST does not use:

  • developer-operated servers for user data;
  • third-party advertising networks;
  • third-party analytics or tracking SDKs;
  • cross-app or cross-website tracking; or
  • a developer account system or user profile.

3. Location information

If you grant location permission, TYPE/CAST uses your device location solely to determine the relevant local weather forecast. The location is used by the app when requesting weather information from Apple Weather through WeatherKit.

The developer does not receive, log or store your location, and TYPE/CAST does not transmit your location to a developer-operated server. You can deny or revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings. If the app supports selecting or searching for a location manually, you may use that feature without granting current-location access.

4. Apple Weather and WeatherKit

TYPE/CAST obtains weather information from Apple Weather using WeatherKit. Requests necessary to provide weather data are processed by Apple. Apple’s handling of information is governed by its own privacy policy and service terms.

5. Data retention

Because the developer does not collect personal information, the developer has no personal information to retain or delete. Weather data may be cached locally on your device as needed for normal app operation and is controlled by the app and iOS.

6. Children’s privacy

TYPE/CAST is not designed to collect personal information from anyone, including children. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the app’s features or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date.

1. 概述

TYPE/CAST 的开发者不会收集、保存、出售、出租或共享您的个人信息。

3. 位置信息

开发者不会接收、记录或保存您的位置，TYPE/CAST 也不会把您的位置传输到开发者运营的服务器。您可以随时在 iOS“设置”中拒绝或撤销位置权限。如果 App 提供手动选择或搜索地点的功能，您也可以在不授权当前位置的情况下使用该功能。

4. Apple Weather 与 WeatherKit

TYPE/CAST 使用 WeatherKit 从 Apple Weather 获取天气信息。提供天气数据所必需的请求由 Apple 处理。Apple 对相关信息的处理受其自身隐私政策与服务条款约束。

5. 数据保留

由于开发者不收集个人信息，因此开发者没有需要保留或删除的个人信息。为了保证 App 正常运行，天气数据可能会按需缓存在您的设备上，并由 App 与 iOS 管理。

6. 儿童隐私

TYPE/CAST 的设计不会收集任何人的个人信息，其中也包括儿童。开发者不会有意收集儿童的个人信息。

7. 隐私政策变更

如果 App 功能或相关法律要求发生变化，我们可能更新本隐私政策。更新后的政策将在此页面公布，并标注新的生效日期。
